Ryuk and Red Apple Cursor
The Shinigami with the unsettlingly wide grin, made small and almost cute as a chibi sticker. A red apple, the one thing he cannot do without, is the hover pointer. That single spot of red is easy to find on any page.

Ryuk, the bored Shinigami, and his apple
Ryuk is the death god who drops a notebook into the human world because his own realm has nothing left to entertain him. He takes no side. He follows Light around, laughs at what happens and asks for apples, which in the human world are juicy enough that he gets withdrawal without them. This chibi drawing shrinks his wide grin into something close to cute. The hover image is a red apple, the only thing he ever asks for.
One red dot on a dark figure
The apple is the practical strength of this pack. A single red shape is easy to find on white pages, dark pages and everything between, so you always see when a link is live. Ryuk himself is a busier figure, and the grin is the part to protect, so keep him at medium size or above. It suits October and any time you want something slightly sinister. Next, try Death Note Notebook, the black book with a quill pen on hover.

Ryuk cursor questions
Is the Ryuk cursor scary?
Not really. He is drawn as a small chibi sticker, so the grin comes across as mischievous more than frightening, and the hover pointer is just a red apple. It works as a light Halloween cursor without being gory.
Can I use the Ryuk cursor on Netflix when I watch Death Note?
Yes, on the Netflix website in Chrome or another Chromium browser. It shows while you browse and when you move the mouse over the player. The Netflix apps on TVs, consoles and phones are outside the browser, so nothing changes there.
