Custom Cursor: Unblocked, No Download

Nothing to download, no installer to run, no files to sideload. Cursor Customiser is a free Chrome extension, so getting a custom cursor is as simple as adding it.

A Chrome browser extension that restyles your cursor inside Chrome, not your operating system.

How to add it

1
Add to Chrome - free
One click from the Chrome Web Store. No account, no sign-up, no card.
2
Pin it & open the popup
Pin Cursor Customiser to your toolbar and click the icon to open the picker.
3
Tap any cursor
It applies the instant you tap, and reverts just as fast when you turn it off.
First, can your Chromebook add extensions?

A custom cursor needs the Chrome Web Store to be available on your account. Many school Chromebooks allow it; some are locked down by an administrator. If the Web Store opens for you, you can add a cursor with no download in seconds. If it’s blocked, that’s a school policy — no website or extension can bypass it, and you’d need to ask your administrator.

Hundreds of original cursors across themed collections, plus a constructor to build your own pair.

Why “no download” matters

Downloadable cursor packs (.cur / .ani files) often get blocked, and installers need admin rights you may not have. A browser extension sidesteps all of that: there are no files to download and nothing to install beyond the extension itself.

Perfect for Chromebooks

On ChromeOS there’s nothing to sideload anyway, so an extension is the natural fit. If the Chrome Web Store is available to you, you can add a custom cursor in seconds. See our custom cursor for Chromebook page for the full walkthrough.

Unblocked custom cursors for school Chromebooks (no download)

On a school Chromebook the win is “no download”: there’s nothing to sideload and nothing installed on the device, so there’s nothing to be blocked at the system level. If the Chrome Web Store is open on your account, you can change your cursor without downloading anything — and turn it off just as fast. Some managed school accounts block the Web Store itself, which is a policy set by your school, not by the extension.

A custom cursor without an extension? Honestly, no

ChromeOS can only enlarge or recolour the pointer (Settings → Accessibility) — it can’t load real custom cursors. So “without an extension” isn’t really possible; a lightweight, no-download browser extension is the practical route, and it changes your cursor without you downloading a single file.

Free, animated, no ads

Hundreds of original cursors, many with 60fps animation, plus live resizing and toggleable trails. All free, with no ads inside the extension.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a no-download custom cursor?

Yes. It’s a Chrome extension: there are no cursor files to download and nothing to install beyond the extension.

Will it work if downloads are blocked?

Because nothing is downloaded, blocked downloads aren’t an issue. You only need access to the Chrome Web Store to add the extension.

How do I get a custom cursor unblocked at school with no download?

Because it’s a browser extension, nothing is downloaded and nothing is installed on the device. If the Chrome Web Store is available on your school account, you can add a custom cursor in seconds — no files, no installer. If your school blocks the Web Store itself, that’s a policy set by your school, not the extension.

How do I change my cursor on a Chromebook without an extension?

You can’t get a real custom cursor without one — ChromeOS only resizes or recolours the pointer. For actual custom or animated cursors with no download, a lightweight browser extension is the practical route.

Is it free?

Yes, completely free with no ads inside the extension.
