The Sims Plumbob and Pink Plumbob Cursor
The green Plumbob that floats above the Sim you are controlling, drawn as a sticker. On hover it swaps to a pink Plumbob, so the change over links is obvious. The plainest design in the set, and the easiest to follow at small sizes.

The Plumbob, green and pink
The Plumbob is the green crystal that hovers over the Sim you are controlling. It has marked the active Sim since the first game in 2000, and in earlier games its colour shifted with mood, green when life was good and red when it was not. The pack uses a glowing green Plumbob as the cursor and a pink one on hover. Same shape, new colour: the change tells you a link is under the mouse.
Why The Sims Plumbob works when small
A Plumbob is a diamond with flat faces and two points, top and bottom. There is no face or fine detail to lose, so it stays sharp at the lowest size and stays out of the way on mod pages and long forum threads. Green shows on light and dark themes. When you want a character instead, The Sims Llama is the next step, and its hover pointer is a tiny Plumbob.

The Sims Plumbob cursor questions
Why does the Plumbob cursor turn pink on hover?
The hover pointer is a second Plumbob in pink. Keeping the shape and changing the colour makes it obvious when your mouse is over a link or button, without the cursor jumping to a different picture.
Does the Plumbob cursor work in The Sims 4 or the EA app?
No. The Sims 4 and the EA app are desktop programs with their own pointer. The Plumbob shows in Chrome on web pages such as the Gallery, CurseForge, Mod The Sims and The Sims Resource.
