About the SpongeBob cursor collection
This SpongeBob cursor set is a small fan-made trio from Bikini Bottom, drawn as chibi stickers for Chrome. Squidward scowls as your normal pointer and swaps to his clarinet when you hover a link. Gary the Snail is caught mid-meow, with a little seashell on hover. Krabby Patty has no character at all: the burger is the cursor and a pink jellyfish takes over on links. Three packs, all free.
Why the SpongeBob set starts with the neighbours and the menu
SpongeBob and Patrick are not here yet, so the set leans on the supporting cast. Squidward works the till at the Krusty Krab and practises clarinet at home, badly, which is why the instrument is his hover image. Gary is SpongeBob's pet snail, who meows like a cat and is often the most sensible one in the pineapple. The Krabby Patty is the burger the whole town queues for, and its secret formula is what Plankton keeps trying to steal.
A clarinet, a seashell and a jellyfish on hover
Each hover image is something from the show and not a generic hand. A clarinet is long and thin, close to the shape of an ordinary arrow, so it is the most natural of the three over small links. Gary's seashell is angled up and to the left, the way a pointer sits. The pink jellyfish is the kind SpongeBob chases through Jellyfish Fields with a net, and it gives the burger pack a second splash of colour whenever you reach something clickable.
Which SpongeBob pack to pick
Krabby Patty is the simplest shape, a burger with no face to squint at, so choose it if you keep your cursor small. Squidward and Gary the Snail carry more detail and look better at medium or large, which you set with the slider in the popup. Gary the Snail is the soft one, with sparkly eyes and pastel shading. Squidward is for the grumpy days.
All 3 SpongeBob packs
Each pack is a matched pair: one image for your normal pointer and one that takes over when you hover a link or button.
- Gary the Snail and Little Seashell Cursor: Gary the Snail going “meow” for the pointer, a little seashell on hover.
- Squidward and Clarinet Cursor: a grumpy chibi Squidward for the pointer, his clarinet on hover.
- Krabby Patty and Pink Jellyfish Cursor: a Krabby Patty burger for the pointer, a pink jellyfish on hover.

Where SpongeBob cursors work
You will see it on web pages in Chrome: the Encyclopedia SpongeBobia wiki, the Nickelodeon site, YouTube clips, Reddit meme threads and Paramount+ when you watch in a browser tab. Frequently asked questions
Is there a SpongeBob or Patrick cursor in this set?
Not yet. The three packs are Squidward, Gary the Snail and Krabby Patty. If you want SpongeBob or Patrick as your pointer today, you can upload your own image in the builder and use it the same way.
Why does the Krabby Patty pack use a jellyfish as its pointer?
Jellyfishing is SpongeBob's favourite hobby away from the grill, so the pink jellyfish from Jellyfish Fields is the image that appears when you hover a link. It also gives the burger pack a bright second colour.
Can I use a Squidward cursor on a school Chromebook?
Only if your school allows extensions. School Chromebooks are managed, and if the administrator has blocked the Chrome Web Store the extension cannot be added. On a personal Chromebook it installs the same way as in Chrome on a laptop.
Are these official SpongeBob cursors?
