About the Cartoons cursor collection
Everything in the Cartoons collection is fan-made art of an existing animated series, and none of it is official or licensed. Three shows have the most packs: the Powerpuff Girls, Adventure Time and Bluey. Steven Universe, Tom and Jerry, Scooby-Doo, Peppa Pig and We Bare Bears follow, with smaller sets for SpongeBob, Rick and Morty and Gravity Falls. That gives a range from classics to recent favourites: Tom Cat and Jerry Mouse, Scooby-Doo and Shaggy, Finn the Human and Jake the Dog, Powerpuff Blossom and Mojo Jojo, Bluey and Bluey Bingo, Ice Bear, Squidward and Grunkle Stan. Most are chibi stickers with a prop from the show on hover. It suits anyone who wants a cursor from a show they grew up with, or one their children watch now.
Heroes, villains and the things they fight over
Several shows are represented by more than a lead character. The Powerpuff Girls set includes all three sisters, their enemy Mojo Jojo and Powerpuff Chemical X, a vial that swaps to a heart-shaped sweet. Tom and Jerry has the cat, the mouse, Spike the Bulldog and Tom and Jerry Cheese, a holey wedge with a mousetrap on hover. Gravity Falls offers Grunkle Stan and Gravity Falls Journal 3. The object packs are often the neatest cursors, because a vial, a book or a wedge of cheese is a simpler shape than a full character.
Cartoon cursors for small children and for grown-ups
This collection covers a wide age range, which matters if you are setting up a cursor for a child. Bluey, Bluey Bingo, Peppa Pig and George Pig, who comes with Mr. Dinosaur on hover, are from pre-school programmes. Tom Cat, Jerry Mouse and Scooby-Doo come from family viewing. Pickle Rick and Rick and Morty Portal come from a series written for adults, although the packs themselves show nothing stronger than a pickle and a portal. Cartoon characters are designed with bold shapes and flat colour, which keeps them readable as cursors. Compact designs such as BMO, Gary the Snail, Jerry Mouse and Krabby Patty hold up when small. Tall or wide subjects like Mystery Machine, We Bare Bears Stack or Steven Universe Garnet need a larger size. Rick and Morty Portal is a neon-green sticker drawn for dark pages. For a family computer, Bluey and Peppa Pig are the gentlest picks.

Where Cartoons cursors work
Cartoon cursors show on the websites where you watch and read about a show in Chrome and other Chromium browsers: YouTube, streaming sites in a tab, fan wikis and the channels' own sites. They work on a family Chromebook where extensions are allowed. They do not appear in a TV or tablet streaming app, in games, on chrome:// pages or in the Chrome Web Store.

Is there a Bluey cursor for Chrome?
Yes. The fan-made Bluey packs are Bluey, Bluey Bingo, Bluey Bandit, Bluey Chilli and a seasonal Bluey Christmas. They are not official or licensed. The extension has no ads inside it and needs no account, which keeps things simple on a child's browser profile.
Do the cartoon characters move like they do on TV?
No. Each pack is two still images, one for the normal pointer and one for when you are over a link or button, so the only change is that swap. If you would like something extra, the extension has optional cursor trails and click effects that can be added to any pack.
Is there a SpongeBob cursor?
There are three fan-made packs from that show: Squidward with his clarinet, Gary the Snail and Krabby Patty. There is no pack of SpongeBob himself in this collection at present. For a character that is missing, you can build your own pair on the site from an image you have the right to use.
