Denji and Chainsaw Pull Cord Cursor
Denji with a wide grin, in chibi form. The hover pointer is a chainsaw pull cord, like the starter handle on his chest. A small in-joke of a pointer that fans will recognise straight away and everyone else will wonder about.

Denji and the cord in his chest
Denji is a teenager buried in his dead father's debt who hunts devils for the yakuza with a small chainsaw dog as his only friend. When that dog, Pochita, becomes his heart, Denji is left with a pull cord hanging from his chest. One tug and the chainsaws come out. This chibi drawing shows him grinning, which is how he looks whenever life offers him a decent meal. The hover image is the cord itself, the handle that starts everything.
A hover pointer only fans will get
Most hover images are obvious objects. This one is a small handle on a cord, and anyone who has not read Chainsaw Man will ask what it is. That is the appeal. Because the shape is slim, raise the size a step if you find it hard to spot on cluttered pages. The grin on the character reads well from medium upward. The obvious follow-up is Pochita, the devil dog who made the deal with him.

Denji cursor questions
Does the Denji cursor show the chainsaw head?
No. This pack is human Denji with a wide grin, and the hover image is the starter cord from his chest. The transformed chainsaw-headed form is not drawn here. Both images are still, with no gore.
Can I use the Denji cursor while reading the manga online?
Yes, on reader sites you open in Chrome, such as MANGA Plus or the VIZ site. The cursor shows across the page and swaps to the pull cord over the page controls. It does not appear in the Shonen Jump phone app.
