Makima, a calm smile and one of her dogs

Makima runs the Public Safety devil hunters in Chainsaw Man, and she is the reason Denji signs up. She speaks softly, never hurries and always seems to know a little more than she should. She also keeps a pack of dogs at home, and the story returns to them often enough that they have become part of how fans picture her. This chibi drawing keeps her calm smile, and one of those dogs is the hover image.

A tidy drawing for tidy pages

Bold outlines and a composed pose make this a neat cursor that does not feel out of place on work tabs. A dog is a fuller, rounder hover shape than a blade or a wand, so it marks links by presence, not by a sharp tip; medium size keeps it recognisable as a dog. If you want to stay with Public Safety, go to Aki Hayakawa next, drawn with his topknot and a fox hand sign on hover.

Makima cursor questions

What breed is the dog on the Makima cursor?

The pack only says it is one of her dogs, drawn in the same chibi sticker style as Makima herself. It appears as the hover pointer over links and buttons and changes back when you move off them.

Is the Makima cursor suitable for a shared family computer?

The drawing is a smiling chibi figure and a dog, with nothing graphic in it. The series is aimed at older readers, but the cursor shows none of that. You can switch back to the normal pointer from the popup at any time.
