No-Face and the gold he offers
No-Face is the silent masked spirit in Spirited Away who slips into the bathhouse behind Chihiro. He has no voice of his own, so he tries to buy company, conjuring gold from his hands and watching the staff scramble for it. Chihiro is the only one who refuses. This drawing shows that exact gesture, No-Face holding out gold, and the hover image is a gold nugget. The pair is the temptation scene, reduced to two pictures.
Dark figure, pale mask, a flash of gold
The body is dark and the mask is pale, so the cursor carries its own contrast and is findable on most backgrounds, though white pages show the figure most cleanly. Gold on hover is warm and bright against dark themes. The shape is tall and plain, with little fine detail to lose, which helps at lower sizes. It is a quiet, slightly eerie pick for evenings. For something warmer from another film, try Calcifer, the fire demon with a little log.

No-Face cursor questions
Is the No-Face cursor creepy?
It is more quiet than creepy. The drawing shows the calm, early version of No-Face holding out gold, not the monstrous form from later in the bathhouse. The hover pointer is a single gold nugget.
Does the No-Face cursor work on dark mode sites?
Yes. The pale mask and the gold stay visible on dark pages, even where the dark body sits close to the background colour. If the figure still blends in on your theme, move the size slider up one step.
