Moon Bunny and Silver Crescent Moon Cursor

A white rabbit wearing a crescent-shaped accessory, paired with a silver crescent moon on hover. One of the site's original designs, drawn as a soft chibi sticker. Mostly white and silver, so it looks loveliest on dark or night-mode pages.

Moon Bunny and its silver crescent

Look at a full moon and many cultures see a rabbit in the dark patches. In East Asian folklore that rabbit lives there, pounding rice cakes or mixing an elixir. This original pack borrows the idea. A white rabbit wearing a crescent-shaped accessory is the cursor, and a silver crescent moon takes over on hover. Rabbit and moon have been drawn together for centuries, so the pair needs no explaining.

White and silver want a dark sky

Almost everything in this pack is pale, so treat it as a night-mode cursor. On dark pages the white rabbit and silver moon glow; on a white page they rely on the outline alone, and you will want a larger size. A crescent has two points and a clean curve, simple to read at any setting. It is a soft, calm drawing for late evenings. For another pale animal that likes dark backgrounds, try Cloud Sheep.

How to use this cursor

Moon Bunny cursor questions

Is the Moon Bunny cursor a Sailor Moon or anime character?

No. It is an original design, a white rabbit with a crescent accessory, and is not taken from any series. The moon rabbit idea comes from old folklore, not from a particular show.

Does the Moon Bunny cursor work for Easter?

It can. It is a white rabbit, so it fits spring pages well, although there are no eggs or baskets in the drawing. The crescent moon theme makes it more of a night-time cursor than a seasonal one.
