3D Cursors

3D cursor packs drawn with gloss, shading and depth: liquid orbs, jelly creatures, metal and clay-like shapes. All are the site's own designs, each with a hover pointer.

About the 3D cursor collection

The 3D collection is about finish, not subject. Every pack is one of the site's own designs, shaded so it looks rounded and touchable instead of flat. Liquids lead: Luminous Ripple Orb is an electric-blue orb like a pocket of rippling liquid, and Lime Ripple Wisp and Lumina Pulse Drop are glossy drops. Sea life follows with Prism Jelly, banded in pink, aqua and mint with a clay-like finish, and the translucent Glimmer Jelly Shark. Steel Sheen Sprite is metallic, Pearl Mist Pebble pearlescent, Blush Egglet a glossy egg and Vivid Bitten Heart a glossy heart with a bite out of it. Molten Magma Pixel is a 3D pixel arrow. They are still images, not rotating models.

Glass, metal, jelly and stone: 3D cursors by material

The depth comes from the material each pack imitates. Glass and liquid: Luminous Ripple Orb, Lime Ripple Wisp and Lumina Pulse Drop, all with inner ripples or shimmer. Metal: Steel Sheen Sprite, with steel-blue gradients and metallic highlights. Jelly: Glimmer Jelly Shark, translucent with a thick sticker outline, and Prism Jelly, whose bell and tentacles have a smooth clay-like surface. Stone and ice: Pearl Mist Pebble, Frosted Pond Pixel as a glossy cyan ice tile, and Molten Magma Pixel with its cooled dark crust.

How a shape with no hands points at a link

An orb has nothing to point with, so these packs grow something. Luminous Ripple Orb and Lime Ripple Wisp extend a tendril when you reach a link. Prism Jelly curls one tentacle forward. Glimmer Jelly Shark points with a fin, Pearl Mist Pebble with a tiny nub, Frosted Pond Pixel with a crystalline finger, and Matcha Froth Buddy, a glossy cup of green froth, with a little arm. The change is small but easy to notice, which is the job of a hover cursor: it tells you the thing underneath can be clicked.

Which 3D pack to pick

On dark pages, the luminous packs carry furthest: Luminous Ripple Orb, Lime Ripple Wisp and Lumina Pulse Drop. On white pages go for stronger colour or a firm edge, such as Molten Magma Pixel in deep reds or Glimmer Jelly Shark with its thick outline. Pearl Mist Pebble and Steel Sheen Sprite are the understated pair for work. Vivid Bitten Heart and Blush Egglet are the soft, friendly ones. Gloss and shading need a few pixels to show, so run these a little larger than a flat cursor.

All 15 3D packs

Each pack is a matched pair: one image for your normal pointer and one that takes over when you hover a link or button.

How to add a 3D cursor to Chrome

Add Cursor Customiser, the free custom cursor extension, from the Chrome Web Store, then press “Use this pack” on any pack above. It applies straight away.

Where 3D cursors work

3D cursors show on web pages in Chrome, Edge, Brave and Opera GX, including the sites where 3D work is shared: Sketchfab, ArtStation, Behance, Spline and Figma in a tab, and YouTube tutorials. They do not appear inside Blender, a CAD program or a game engine, where the software draws its own pointer, or on chrome:// pages, the Chrome Web Store or the desktop.

Frequently asked questions

Are these real 3D cursors that rotate?

No. Each one is a still image drawn with highlights and shading so it looks three-dimensional. It does not spin or tilt as you move. Optional trails and click effects in the extension add motion around the cursor if you want some.

Is this the Blender 3D cursor?

No. In Blender, the 3D cursor is a placement tool inside the viewport, and nothing on this page changes it. These are decorative mouse cursors for web pages in Chrome and other Chromium browsers. They do not appear inside Blender or any other desktop program.

Is there a 3D arrow cursor?

Molten Magma Pixel is the arrow in this set: a 3D pixel arrow that looks carved from magma, with a lava-styled pointing hand on hover. Twist Star Arrow is a glossy star with a curled arrow tail. The others are orbs, drops and small characters.

Is there a glass or liquid cursor for Chrome?

Several. Luminous Ripple Orb looks like a pocket of rippling blue liquid, Lime Ripple Wisp is a glassy drop in electric blue and neon lime, and Lumina Pulse Drop is a droplet in ultraviolet pinks and purples. All three extend a tendril over links.
